Hello everyone! Long time no see.

Road to 400 pages

Work is going forward to bring you 400 pages of content (and indices): after analyzing and weighing the options, I finally found a somewhat easy way to explain how to do collisions with arbitrary convex polygons, but that brought a lot more content to talk about (which I don't want to spoil it).

The new content is mostly technical but I tried to simplify it as much as possible, there are some new game design tips, as well as some new TODOs (those are never enough!).

Inertia stops me

I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with a decent implementation of inertia that works both for 2d platformers (moving only left and right) as well as 2D shooters (where you move freely in a 2D space). I'd like to have a good solution before publishing the next version (which will probably be labeled 0.7.0)

Problems, problems, problems...

I found out that there is a bit of trouble in the Epub edition: since there is no syntax highlighting file for "pseudocode" in the skylighting package, code blocks come out a bit broken.

I'll have to study the package and come up with something.

Conclusions

A willingly short update just to let you all know that things are going forward and that I hope to be able to release a new version by the end of june (no promise though!)

Thank you as always for reading, take care and stay safe.
